Sara Pla-García was born in Valencia, in 1982. She obtained her degree in chemistry in June 2010 at the University of Valencia, presenting a final degree project in the Organic Synthesis Department. That project, titled "Synthesis, characterization and properties of new organic ligands obtained from triazolpyridine", was performed under the supervision of Prof. Belen Abarca and Prof. Rafael Ballesteros. After that, she joined Prof. Ángela Sastre’s group in November 2010, as PhD student. Her current research interests are the synthesis of fullerene, perylene and phthalocyanines derivatives with new optoelectronic properties. She obtained her PhD on February, 2016.
