FT-IR spectroscopy
(ThermoNicolet IR 200)
This equipment can measure the absorption energy in the infrared region of compounds both dispersed in a KBr disc or pure in a attenuated total reflexion (ATR) mode over a germanium window.
UV-vis spectroscopy
(ThermoSpecronic Helios)
Allows recording the electronic absorption spectra of molecules from ultraviolet to near infrared light.
Cromatography
(Agilent 1100 Series – HPLC / GPC)
It is an analytical and a semi-preparative high pressure liquid chromatography and a gel permeation equipment. It is equipped with a quaternary pump and a diode array detector (DAD). We have both silica and styrene-divinylbenzene columns.

Fluorimetry
(PerkinElmer Luminescence Spectrometer)
Allows recording the emission electronic spectra of our compounds when they are excited with a certain wavelength light.
Electrochemistry
(μAutolab type III)
The available procedures include i.e. cyclic voltammetry, chrono amperometry, linear polarization, high speed linear scan… which allow evaluating the electrochemistry properties of the molecules.
Calorimetry
(PerkinElmer instruments Pyris 1 DSC)
The differential scanning calorimeter allows registering phase changing as vitrea transformation, cristallization, or fusion temperatures. It’s equipped with a cooler to operate under room temperature.

Mass spectrometry
(Bruker MALDI TOF Microflex LRF20)
The core contains a Matrix-Assisted Laser Desorption Ionization Time-of-Flight (MALDI-TOF) mass spectrometer (MS). It is equipped with a 60 Hz laser and is capable of measuring masses of molecules ranging in size from several hundred to several hundred thousand Daltons.

Flash cromatography system
(CombiFlash Rf)
Flash cromatography system with high-productivity automation, programmable gradientes, UV detection and peak separation, and automatic detection of columns and collection tube racks.
Microwave synthesis
(CEM Automated Synthesis System)
Microwave energy is applied to the vessel contents (reactants, catalysts, salts, solvents and/or solid supports) to accelerate the chemical reaction. These systems enhances the ability to perform chemical reactions under controlled conditions on a laboratory scale, and facilitate either homogeneous or heterogeneous solution phase chemistry.

Glove Box
(UNIlab Gloveboxsystem)
A hermetically sealed enclosure that provides a working space in its inner side that is completely segregated from the outside. It is designed to maintain in its inside an artificial atmosphere, tipically consisting of pure nitrogen or argon with a concentration of oxygen and water vapour bellow 1 ppm.
Solar Simulator
(LS Series Light Source)
A solar simulator for applications that do not require a large area illuminated field. The 10500 utilizes a fast optical system and rear reflector to collect radiation from the lamp allowing over 3 suns output over smaller fields. The beam can be collimated at 25 mm diameter or defocused to illuminate larger cells. Focus, lateral, and rear reflector adjustments allow for optimizing beam size and uniformity.

EQE
()
The instrument is employed to measure the external quantum efficiency (EQE) of a photovoltaic device, in terms of incident photon to converted electron ratio (IPCE). The measurements are usually performed over a range of different wavelengths, employing a 150 W Xe lamp coupled with a monochromator and a controlling computer.

MB-EcoVap
(MB-EcoVap 200)
The MB-EcoVap is designed to deposit different layers, of both organic materials and metals, onto different substrates under high vacuum conditions. This system is integrated into a glovebox which maintains an inert atmosphere, consisting of pure nitrogen ( or argon) with low and controlled oxygen and water concentrations (typically < 1 ppm).
